First Impressions
Walking into 2B2B Apartment in collin street Melbourne, you immediately get that “home away from home” feeling that’s honestly pretty rare in four-star accommodations. The building sits right on Collins Street — and I mean right on it — so you’re basically in the heart of Melbourne’s business district with all the energy that brings. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, which couples seem to absolutely love based on the feedback I’ve heard.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally steps away from everything that makes Melbourne tick. Collins Street is basically Melbourne’s main artery — you’ve got the trams running right outside (which honestly becomes background music after a day), and you can walk to Federation Square, the laneways, and all those hidden coffee spots that locals actually frequent. The recent guests aren’t wrong when they rave about the location — I mean, you’re in postcode 3000, which is as central as it gets. During the day there’s that bustling business energy, but evenings have this nice settled feeling when the office crowd heads home.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart from your typical hotel room is the apartment setup — you actually get space to spread out and live a bit. The kitchen means you can grab fresh produce from Queen Victoria Market (about a 10-minute walk) and cook if you want, though honestly with Melbourne’s food scene right outside your door, you might not bother much. The living area gives you somewhere to properly relax that isn’t just your bed, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights.
Daily Life & Practicalities
Getting around from here is ridiculously easy — the free tram zone covers most of where you’ll want to go, and when it doesn’t, paid transport is right there. I’ve found that staying on Collins Street means you’re never really lost because it’s such a major reference point. The neighborhood has that perfect mix of being busy enough to feel alive but not so chaotic that you can’t get a good night’s sleep. There are proper grocery stores nearby (not just overpriced convenience shops), and you’ll find everything from quick lunch spots to upscale dining within a few blocks.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating makes total sense when you experience how this place works in practice. Couples particularly seem drawn to the combination of privacy and location — you get your own space to retreat to, but you’re never more than a few minutes from Melbourne’s best experiences. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like a temporary local rather than a tourist, and the apartment setup means you can actually settle in and enjoy the rhythm of the city. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having Collins Street as your address, even if it’s just for a week.
Melbourne’s apartments welcome families with spacious lounges, playground courtyards, and quick rides to beachside St Kilda.

What Our Guests Say
Everything!!! It was amazing! Will be staying again
The location was fantastic and our apartment had amazing views and facilities. Tram stop virtually outside building making getting around Melbourne so easy. Foodhall across the road which is next to it a great Vietnamese restaurant.
The host was super accommodating and let us drop off our luggage before the room was ready.
This was so helpful for us.
The proximity to the station and the tram system was the outstanding feature of this property. The apartment was on a high floor of the building and the view was appreciated. There is online concern about the lifts in this building, but we did not have any significant issues using them.
Very good location, great pool and spa. Easy check in/out, great communication from host.
