2BR Apartment with Ocean Views Parking
You know, I stumbled upon the 2BR Apartment with Ocean Views Parking during a quick getaway to Melbourne last summer, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those spots that just clicks – especially if you're after something more homey than a stuffy hotel room.
You know, I stumbled upon the 2BR Apartment with Ocean Views Parking during a quick getaway to Melbourne last summer, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those spots that just clicks – especially if you’re after something more homey than a stuffy hotel room. Tucked away in St Kilda, right in the 3182 postcode, it’s on that stretch near Beaconsfield Parade where you can smell the salty air from Port Phillip Bay the second you step out. I mean, parking in St Kilda is usually a total headache – think circling blocks forever during peak season when everyone’s flocking to the beach or Luna Park – but this place has its own spot included, which saved me from swearing at the meter maids more than once. My first impression? Walking in after a bumpy tram ride from the city (the 96 line drops you practically at the door), the apartment felt surprisingly spacious for a 4-star setup. Two bedrooms with those big, comfy beds that don’t feel like they’ve been slept in by a thousand tourists, a kitchenette stocked enough to whip up brekkie without hunting for a cafe, and – oh man – that balcony overlooking the ocean. I spent my first evening just sitting there with a flat white, watching the kite surfers zip across the water as the sun dipped low. It’s not flashy, but it’s clean, with that fresh linen smell and wooden floors that creak just a bit underfoot, reminding you it’s a real lived-in building, not some sterile high-rise.
What really sets it apart, though, is how it slots right into the St Kilda vibe without overwhelming you. You’re a stone’s throw from Acland Street’s cake shops – seriously, if you haven’t tried the vanilla slice at Monarch Cakes, you’re missing out – and the Esplanade Market on Sundays, where locals hawk everything from handmade jewelry to those weirdly addictive vegan doughnuts. I wandered down to the pier one night to spot the little penguins waddling in after dark; it’s free and magical, especially in the cooler months when the crowds thin out. The apartment’s rating of 8.2 feels spot-on – it’s got solid Wi-Fi for streaming (no buffering issues during my Netflix binge), air con that actually cools the place down on those humid Melbourne days, and views that make you forget the occasional tram rumble below. Well, sort of – if you’re a light sleeper, the noise from Fitzroy Street’s bars can drift up on weekends, but earplugs fixed that for me. And let’s be real, for a family or a couple like me and my partner, having that extra bedroom means no fighting over space; we even hosted a casual dinner with friends who crashed nearby. It’s not perfect – the bathroom’s a tad compact, and check-in was self-service via a lockbox, which threw me off at first since I arrived late – but it beats overpriced CBD hotels hands down.
All in all, if you’re heading to Melbourne and want that ocean-side escape without the tourist trap feel, this apartment’s a gem. It’s got that authentic St Kilda charm – think relaxed beach walks in the morning, then hopping on a tram to the city for the day – and at a price that doesn’t sting, especially off-season when things quiet down around April. I’d go back in a heartbeat, maybe even extend my stay to catch more of those bay sunsets. You should too, if space and views are your thing.

What Our Guests Say
This was perfect - the host was very accomodating ! Spacious and very accomodating
Great location for our stay and what we wanted. Location, privacy and view
What could be improved: Cracked window with no notification. Makes you feel a little uncomfortable when you have a $750 bond.
Pleasant Direkt im Zentrum
What could be improved: Das Check-in war eine totale Katastrophe.
