Well, sort of – there is some street noise filtering up from Collins Street during the day, especially in peak tourist season like summer when the Australian Open crowds spill over, but it quiets down by 10 PM, and the double-glazed windows help a ton. Inside, it’s all clean lines and comfy beds (the king in the master is a dream after a day exploring), with little touches like fresh towels that actually smell like they’ve been laundered properly, not that stale hotel vibe. Parking’s a hassle in the CBD – we ended up using the Wilson lot nearby, which isn’t cheap, so I’d say ditch the car and hop on the free City Circle tram; it’s a lifesaver for getting to places like the Queen Victoria Market for fresh produce or a quick ride to the MCG if you’re into sports. And hey, for families or even a couple wanting space, that second bedroom comes in handy – we used it as a chill zone for reading, away from the main living area.

All in all, if you’re eyeing Melbourne and want something that feels authentic without breaking the bank, Aura2107’s a gem. It’s not perfect – the Wi-Fi can lag a bit during busy times, but nothing a restart didn’t fix – but those river views and the ease of popping out to Federation Square for events make it worth it. I left thinking it’d be ideal for a long weekend getaway, especially in the shoulder seasons like spring when the jacarandas are blooming and the crowds thin out. You know what?
