Conveniently Located 6 BR Unit
You know, when I first pulled up to the Conveniently Located 6 BR Unit on Peel Street in West Melbourne, I was a bit skeptical – it's tucked away in that industrial-ish pocket just off Spencer Street, where the trams rattle by and you can smell the faint coffee roast from those little cafes popping up everywhere.
You know, when I first pulled up to the Conveniently Located 6 BR Unit on Peel Street in West Melbourne, I was a bit skeptical – it’s tucked away in that industrial-ish pocket just off Spencer Street, where the trams rattle by and you can smell the faint coffee roast from those little cafes popping up everywhere. But honestly, stepping inside changed my tune quick. The place is this spacious, no-fuss apartment setup with six bedrooms that feel more like a comfy share house than some sterile hotel suite. I mean, we were a group of friends crashing there after a weekend at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, and it was perfect for that – the living area has these big, squishy couches that beg for late-night chats, and the kitchen’s got all the basics, like a proper espresso machine (a lifesaver in a city obsessed with its brews). Check-in was a breeze too; it’s one of those keyless entry deals via an app, which worked flawlessly even though I fumbled my phone in the rain – no front desk drama, just straight in after a long flight.
What really sold me, though, was how it bridges that gap between the gritty edges of West Melbourne and the buzz of the CBD. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Queen Victoria Market – I grabbed fresh oysters and some of those killer doughnuts one morning, dodging the early bird crowds – and Flagstaff Gardens is right around the corner for a quick jog or picnic if you need to escape the urban hum. The unit itself is solid for a 4-star spot with an 8.2 rating; the beds are firm but comfy, with those crisp white linens that smell faintly of lavender detergent, and there’s decent soundproofing – well, mostly, except for the occasional truck rumbling down Peel Street at dawn, which might bug light sleepers (earplugs helped me). Parking’s a bit of a hunt in this area, especially during peak hours when the nearby offices fill up, but we snagged a spot on a side street without too much hassle. And get this – it’s surprisingly quiet in the evenings, sort of that hidden gem vibe where you can hear the distant clatter from Hardware Lane’s restaurants but feel worlds away. Oh, and if you’re into footy, it’s a stone’s throw from Marvel Stadium; we caught a game and walked back in under 20 minutes, dodging the post-match crowds on Harbour Esplanade.
All in all, if you’re traveling with a crew – family, mates, whatever – and want something practical without the pomp of a big chain hotel, this place nails it. It’s not flawless; the Wi-Fi dipped a couple times during our stay (streaming footy highlights was iffy), and the decor’s more functional than flashy, but that’s Melbourne for you – unpretentious and real. I’d book it again in a heartbeat, especially in spring when the gardens are blooming and the city’s alive but not overwhelmingly packed. You get that authentic slice of inner-city life, close enough to everything without the tourist trap prices. Trust me, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like a local, even if you’re just passing through.

What Our Guests Say
Our group of 10 had an excellent experience at this apartment which is centrally located, close to the museum and other Melbourne attractions and great restaurants. It had a great view of the market and downtown area.
There are plenty of rooms and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners / managers were good to work with and kind when my kids misplaced remotes.
Air conditioning in the living room / kitchen combined with fans worked well to keep unit cool even during a heat wave.
Great unit and I would stay again
The property was great for a group of people, love that there is 5 bathrooms. Location is great, generally felt like a very safe area.
Beautiful place to stay, amazing location and staff too. Great atmosphere and plenty of space for a big group with spare room.

Very good location for getting around Melbourne on the trams, and the proximity to Queen Victoria Market as well as other places to eat.
The location and facilities couldn’t have been better
