The well-maintained grounds invite leisurely strolls among native Australian flora, creating moments of serenity that city accommodations simply cannot provide. Despite its peaceful setting, the property doesn’t compromise on amenities, offering reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, comfortable bedding, and attentive service that has contributed to its excellent guest rating. The helpful staff are knowledgeable about local attractions, including nearby Emerald Lake Park, the Emerald Arts Society, and the numerous walking trails that wind through the majestic mountain ash forests of the region. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend getaway, a family adventure exploring the natural wonders of the Dandenong Ranges, or simply seeking a peaceful respite from metropolitan Melbourne (just an hour’s drive away), Emerald Forest Garden provides an ideal base for your explorations. The 8.6 rating speaks volumes about the consistent quality and warm hospitality that guests experience, with many highlighting the property’s cleanliness, tranquil atmosphere, and excellent value for money. Morning breakfasts often feature local produce, honoring the region’s agricultural heritage while energizing guests for days spent hiking, wildlife watching, or visiting nearby attractions such as the remarkable Emerald Star Bush Garden or the creative hub of the Emerald Community House. As evening falls, return to your comfortable accommodation to unwind and listen to the gentle sounds of the Australian bush—kookaburras laughing in the distance and the soft rustle of eucalyptus leaves in the breeze—experiences that make Emerald Forest Garden not just a place to stay, but a genuine Australian mountain retreat to remember.

Beautiful property, large space

We stayed as a family of 6 adults and although the accommodation was basic it gave us everything we needed. Was well supplied with toiletries, towels, bedding and even soft dressing gowns. Really well placed for what we needed and lovely to revisit the Dandenong Ranges, even though a little wet.

It was lovely to wake up to birdsong in the surrounding gardens. I found the bed very comfortable
The bathroom sink had water in it and it did not drain and I contacted Lewis the host and he immediately followed up with a handyman to visit in the next 15 mins. However the sink just needed for the plug to be pushed in, which I was not aware of. I appreciated Lewis’s help which was friendly and helpful.Kara from Australia (9/10)
