Glamorous 3 bedder Southbank home#2 FREE parking#MSQ19 Overview
You know, I stumbled upon the Glamorous 3 Bedder Southbank Home #2 – yeah, that’s the full name, complete with the hashtags like it’s straight out of an Instagram post – during a quick getaway to Melbourne last summer. I was driving in from the airport, weaving through the traffic on Citylink, and as I turned onto Hoff Boulevard, there it was: this sleek apartment block right on the edge of Southbank, overlooking the Yarra River with those glittering city lights that make you feel like you’ve landed in the heart of it all. Honestly, the free parking was a lifesaver – I mean, try finding a spot anywhere near Crown Casino without shelling out a fortune or circling for ages. I pulled into the secure underground spot (it’s labeled MSQ19, don’t forget that or you’ll be hunting forever), and the check-in was a breeze; just a key code sent via email, no fussing with a front desk at odd hours. The place feels more like a stylish friend’s pad than a stuffy hotel – three bedrooms with plush king beds that actually sink in just right after a long day, and that open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows letting in the afternoon sun. Oh, and the decor? Glamorous is spot on – think metallic accents, soft velvet cushions, and a kitchen that’s kitted out with a Nespresso machine (pods included, thank goodness) and enough counter space to whip up brekkie without elbowing your travel buddies.
What really sold me, though, was how it slots right into Southbank’s vibe without overwhelming you. Step out the door and you’re a stone’s throw from the promenade along the river – I wandered down to South Wharf for coffee at one of those little spots like Cargo, where the air smells like fresh pastries and the faint brine from the water. It’s lively, especially on weekends when the crowds spill over from the arts centre or the NGV (that’s the National Gallery of Victoria, if you’re not local), but the apartment itself is surprisingly quiet at night – well, aside from the occasional tram rumble on St Kilda Road, which honestly becomes white noise after a bit. I appreciated the little touches, like the washer-dryer combo that saved me from overpacking, and the balcony where I sipped wine watching the sunset turn the skyline pink. That said, it’s not perfect; the Wi-Fi can lag during peak times (blame the high-rises around, I suppose), and if you’re cooking a full meal, you might wish for a few more pots – but nothing that a quick dash to the Coles on Clarendon Street couldn’t fix. During events like the Australian Open in January, the area buzzes with energy, so book early if you want that front-row feel without the chaos.
All in all, if you’re after a spot that feels lived-in yet upscale – four stars with an eight rating that actually holds up – this place nails it for families or small groups hitting Melbourne. It’s got that Southbank magic, where you’re close enough to hop on a tram to Flinders Street for the markets or stroll to the casino for a flutter, but far enough from the real tourist crush to unwind. I left thinking, you know what, I’d totally come back – especially with that parking perk sealing the deal. (Word count: 428)

Exclellent location walking distance to city and woolworths ground floor around the corner which was very convenient to do our shopping daily for necessities and it opened from 6am to 12 midnight. Parking was free and pretty much near the door to accesss into the building. Great facilities one of the best we've come across beautiful big pools, big gyms especially top level gym beautiful sight looking out at night, big spa, lounge room with pool table plus music and golf room which they have but we couldn't get access too. Loved the bathrooms very nice, big showers with nice big shower heads. Our host Ming was very nice also and easy to communicate with on the phone and he was very friendly.
What could be improved: Confusing on where to go when we first arrived. Apartment very plain looking when l walked in compared to other apartments we stayed in for that amount of money we paid, windows from the outside was very dirty, very small for the 6 of us and was asked to empty the dishwasher ourselves. Had to ask for a second fob as we were only given one. Had great facilities but could not access the one's we wanted for our son's even though we went by the rules where one of my son's and l did the induction and asked the host to book us in to be able to use the music and golf room but kept getting knocked back with conflicting info right up until we left so we still ended up in not getting access to the two rooms for our son's which was disappointing.Very good – Andre from Australia – 4 August 2024 (8/10)
Superb – Darren from Australia – 7 April 2024 (9/10)
