First Impressions
Walking into Luxury CBD Skyline View on A’Beckett Street, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I needed” feeling. It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard — the lobby is sleek without being intimidating, and the staff actually seem happy to see you. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Melbourne‘s business district, but somehow it doesn’t feel corporate or stuffy. The moment you step through the doors, you sense a thoughtful approach to hospitality that prioritizes genuine comfort over pretension.
The Location Sweet Spot
Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re a quick walk to Flagstaff Gardens when you need some green space, and Queen Victoria Market is close enough that you’ll probably end up there multiple times. The trams are right there — which is huge because Melbourne’s tram system can get you anywhere you actually want to go. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to both the theater district and all those hidden laneways with the street art without needing to plan your whole day around transport. The surrounding neighborhood offers endless exploration opportunities.
The Room Experience
The room itself delivers on that skyline promise in the name. I had one of the higher floors, and you know what? The city views actually made me put my phone down for a minute. The space feels modern but lived-in — good lighting, a bed that doesn’t make you miss home, and a bathroom where everything works properly. There’s decent storage space too, which sounds boring but matters when you’re living out of a suitcase. The air conditioning is quiet, which is something you don’t think about until you’re trying to sleep. Every detail has been considered with the guest experience in mind.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here work well because there’s a solid coffee setup in the building, and if you’re feeling more adventurous, some of Melbourne’s best coffee spots are literally around the corner. The restaurant downstairs does decent food — nothing that’ll change your life, but reliable when you just want to eat without thinking about it. I found myself using the space differently throughout the day; working in the lobby area in the afternoon with good wifi and comfortable seating, then heading up to enjoy those city lights in the evening. The flexibility of the space adapts to your needs.
Why Guests Love It
This place gets couples because it strikes that balance between being central enough to explore but comfortable enough to actually relax together. The 8.2 rating makes sense — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Melbourne, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you those skyline views that make the city feel special. You’ll end up recommending it to friends, which is really the test of whether a place works or not. It represents excellent value for discerning travelers seeking authentic Melbourne hospitality.

What Our Guests Say
Amazing views all around, very safe apartment building, close to everything you need in the cbd!
Location was great, pool and spa was amazing.
Lots of lifts to accommodate guests.
Great location close to tram and city .
Apartment was very clean, well set up with cooking utensils etc
Indoor Pool was a great asset.
Nice location right in the heart of the city definitely get your deposit and ID to them earlier nothing worse than standing outside with a sleeping child waiting to be told where the key is.
The room was clean. The view is great. Location is good.
Clean, great amenities and awesome location
Lovely! Clean! Modern
Collecting the key was a horrible experience. The host told me that the room was ready and when I arrived she didnt let me check in until I paid a surprise $300 bank transfer deposit, which she hasnt sent back! This was unclear from her communication via the app, and texted me privately for the transfer. The instructions were so unclear, she didn't tell me the unit number or level the apartment was on so I had to check every floor. I have followed up with customer service so that I can get my money back, she does have this listed on the booking but it was fairly hidden, and didn't communicate this until I was stuck waiting out the front
Great central location and smooth comms from the owner!
