First Impressions
Walking into Melbourne City Apartments – Teri on Market Street, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I needed” feeling. It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard — just solid, well-designed apartment living in the heart of Southbank. The building itself has this modern, understated vibe that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s mix of sleek towers and riverside walkways.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally steps from the Yarra River, which means those morning walks along the promenade become part of your routine whether you planned it or not. Melbourne‘s CBD is right across the bridge, so you can walk to Flinders Street Station in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you stop for coffee (which, honestly, you will). The Crown Casino complex is practically next door, and I mean that in the best way — all those restaurants and bars without the noise carrying over to your place.
The Apartment Experience
What sets these apartments apart is the space, really. Each unit feels like an actual home rather than a hotel room with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. The kitchen is properly equipped — I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, and enough dishes that you could actually cook if you wanted to. The living areas are generous, and those floor-to-ceiling windows make everything feel bigger than it already is. You know what surprised me? The laundry setup actually works well, which is rare in apartment hotels.
Practical Perks
The parking situation deserves a mention because, well, it’s Melbourne and finding a decent spot can be a nightmare. Having secure, on-site parking means you can actually explore the city by car without that constant worry about where you’ll end up leaving it. The building’s got good security too — key card access and that sort of thing — which matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The staff are helpful without being overly chatty, which I appreciate when I’m trying to figure out my day.
Why Guests Love It
Couples seem to really get this place — there’s something about having your own space in such a prime location that just works for romantic getaways or even business trips where you want to feel settled. The fact that you can grab groceries at South Melbourne Market (just a short tram ride away) and actually prepare a meal together, or just spread out with laptops and not feel cramped — that’s the real appeal here. It’s Melbourne living without the lease commitment, and honestly, the location score speaks for itself. You’re in one of the city’s most desirable areas, with the river, the arts precinct, and the CBD all within easy reach.

What Our Guests Say
Perfect sized apartment for a work stay and great facilities. Will stay again.
Kitchen, location ( eatery around the corner)
Friendly staff,
The location was great. Convenient to get food, trams & Albert park F1.
We enjoyed our stay at the Teri City Apartments as it acted as the perfect base for attending a festival in St Kilda before heading into the city for the evening. Our 2-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable for one night, and conveniently located across the road from an Aldi and some nice eateries. The gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and very helpful also.
Property Manager was very helpful and pleasant
Great location, secure parking, clean and well maintained
Very well equipped room in a very central location. Great kitchen and toilet, complete with washer, dryer, and large balcony.
Hot water was spotty, and a leaky kitchen tap was never addressed despite two requests. Cleaning service, although advertised for my 8-day stay, never materialised.
The team at Melbourne City Apartments were amazing. My flight was cancelled and I had to fly out the next day a little upset with the treatment from the airlines. But Teri Team accommodated the change in dates without a fuss, met me with empathy and made me feel welcomed after a hard couple of days. They were wonderful.
Great location. South Melbourne market is only 2 mins away so handy.
Love the gated/secure private car park under the apt. remember you have to pay for it but it's worthy if you are bringing a vehicle.
very spacious compared to other APTs in the central area.
Location was key as family live in the are area walking distance, will definitely use these again in future.
