You’re about 9 kilometers north of the CBD, which means you get that authentic local feel without being completely cut off from the action. The High Street location puts you right in the heart of Preston’s cafe and shopping strip — I mean, you can grab excellent coffee and Lebanese food within a two-minute walk. There’s parking on site too, which is honestly a godsend if you’re planning to explore Melbourne’s outer neighborhoods or head up to the wine regions.

The Apartment Experience

What I really appreciate about Quest Preston is how they’ve nailed the serviced apartment concept. Each room feels like a proper home base rather than just a place to crash. The kitchenette is actually functional — not one of those token setups with a mini-fridge and a prayer. You’ve got decent counter space, a proper stovetop, and enough cookware to make a real meal if you want to hit up the Preston Market (which, by the way, is fantastic and just down the road). The living areas are spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living on top of each other, especially important for longer stays.

Local Neighborhood Vibes

Preston has this great multicultural energy that you don’t always get in the more touristy parts of Melbourne. High Street is lined with family-run businesses, authentic eateries, and vintage shops that locals actually frequent. The Northland Shopping Centre is a short drive if you need proper retail therapy, but honestly, I found myself just wandering the neighborhood most evenings. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like real Melbourne rather than tourist Melbourne, you know?

  The Quest Preston is ideally located for us with its very close proximity to a family member. The rooms are always clean and well equipped. This time we were provided with a 1 bedroom apartment. The kitchen was well equipped, and the fridge/freezer was large.
