Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to the Stunning View 2B APT in Docklands after a long drive from the airport – you know, that stretch along the Tullamarine Freeway that always feels endless when you’re jet-lagged. It’s tucked away on the waterfront side, right near Harbour Esplanade, where the breeze off the Yarra carries that salty tang mixed with coffee from the nearby cafes. Honestly, the free parking was a godsend; in Melbourne, especially around here with all the stadium events at Marvel (what we still call Etihad sometimes), spots can vanish faster than you can say “footy season.” I mean, I just slotted into the secure underground spot without any fuss – no circling blocks like you might in the CBD. Check-in was a breeze too, all self-service with a code they texted me; no awkward lobby waits, though I did fumble the door lock once because, well, who hasn’t after a flight?
Stepping inside, it hit me – those floor-to-ceiling windows framing the harbor views are no joke. We’re talking sparkling water dotted with yachts, and at dusk, the city skyline lights up like it’s showing off. The place is a solid two-bedroom setup, four-star comfy with that modern apartment vibe: plush couches that actually sink in nicely (not those rock-hard ones you get in some spots), a kitchen stocked with basics like a Nespresso machine – perfect for brewing up while watching the trams rattle along Collins Street extension. I loved how quiet it got at night, despite being so close to the action; sure, there’s the occasional wind whipping through Docklands’ high-rises, making the windows hum a bit, but it’s more soothing than annoying. Oh, and the balcony – small but mighty for sipping a local pinot and people-watching the joggers along the promenade. It’s not smack in the heart of Bourke Street’s bustle, mind you, which means a quick tram ride (the 70 or 86 lines are right there) to get to Queen Vic Market or Federation Square, but that separation keeps things peaceful, especially if you’re escaping the summer crowds in January when Melbourne’s festivals turn the city into a zoo.
Look, if you’re traveling with a partner or a small family and want that home-away-from-home feel without breaking the bank, this spot’s a winner – rated around 8.3 for good reason. It’s got the essentials sorted, like reliable Wi-Fi for streaming Aussie Netflix and a washer-dryer that saved me from overpacking. Minor gripe? The bathroom could use a tad more counter space for all your toiletries, but that’s nitpicking. Overall, it left me refreshed and ready to explore – think lazy mornings with harbor sunrises before hopping on a bike path to South Wharf. You’d be hard-pressed to find better value in Docklands, especially with that view stealing the show every time.

The location was great for Marvel Stadium- we were back there 5 minutes after the concert finished. It was also on the 30 and 86 Tram lines so covered everything we needed to get to in Melbourne.
The hosts were very helpful and organised.
Loved the views from the windows. I sat up after the concert on the day bed and watched the trains till they ran out of passengers.Robert from Australia (7/10)
