Sunshine CBD Apt with Stunning Views plus Pool Overview

I remember pulling up to the Sunshine CBD Apt in West Melbourne – it’s tucked away on the edge of the CBD, right near that bustling stretch of Spencer Street where the trams rattle by every few minutes. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first because, you know, apartment-style hotels can feel a tad impersonal, but this place surprised me. We checked in around midday – super straightforward with a key code system, no waiting around for staff, which was a godsend after a long flight into Tullamarine. The building’s got that modern high-rise vibe, all glass and steel, and as soon as I stepped into our unit on the 15th floor (or was it 16th? Anyway, high up), those views hit me like a ton of bricks. We’re talking panoramic sweeps over the Yarra River and the Docklands harbor, with the city skyline twinkling at night – I spent half my evenings just sipping a flat white on the balcony, watching the ferries glide by. It’s not one of those sterile spots either; the apt felt lived-in, with a proper kitchen (stocked with basics like a Nespresso machine – lifesaver for my morning caffeine fix) and comfy queen beds that didn’t creak like some budget places I’ve stayed in.

What really sets this joint apart, though, is how it balances that urban buzz with some chill-out perks. The pool on the rooftop – well, it’s more of a lap pool than a resort-style one, but dipping in after wandering around the Queen Victoria Market (just a 10-minute walk away, by the way, perfect for grabbing fresh produce or those killer doughnuts) was pure bliss, especially in Melbourne’s unpredictable summer heat. I mean, the water’s always crisp, and there’s this little sundeck area with loungers where you can catch some rays without the crowds – though it does get busier on weekends when locals pop in. Noise-wise, it’s not bad for the location; sure, you’ll hear the occasional tram ding or traffic hum from King Street below, but the double-glazed windows keep most of it out, and it’s way quieter than staying right in the heart of Bourke Street’s chaos. Parking’s a bit of a hassle if you’re driving – spots are limited in the underground garage, so book ahead or use the nearby Wilson lots, which aren’t too pricey. Oh, and the Wi-Fi’s solid, fast enough for streaming or work calls, which mattered to me since I was mixing business with pleasure.

All in all, if you’re after a 4-star spot that feels more like a home base than a hotel – with those killer views and easy access to spots like the Flagstaff Gardens for a morning jog or the eateries along Hardware Lane – this place is worth it. Rating-wise, that 8.5 feels spot on; it’s not perfect (the gym’s pretty basic, just some weights and a treadmill), but for couples or small families hitting Melbourne in the shoulder seasons like spring, when the city’s blooming and less crowded, you’d be hard-pressed to find better value. I left thinking, yeah, I’d crash here again in a heartbeat – especially for that sunset view over the water.

    設備應有盡有,很完善。適合情侶或小家庭居住,雖然離電車站有一點點距離,但也可視為吃飽散步的一環。我們住16樓,非常棒的美景,沒有任何遮蔽物,居高遠望。
