The Room Experience

The room itself lives up to the Westin reputation — those signature Heavenly Beds really are something special. I was skeptical about hotel marketing claims, but you know what? I slept better here than I have in months. The rooms are spacious by Melbourne standards, with that clean, contemporary design that doesn’t feel cold or corporate. Large windows give you proper city views, and the bathrooms are well-appointed with separate showers and deep soaking tubs. The little touches matter too — quality linens, blackout curtains that actually work, and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re in the middle of the city.

Dining & Amenities

Breakfast here is actually worth getting up for, which isn’t something I say lightly. They’ve got everything covered — continental, full English, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options — basically, whatever dietary requirements you have, they’ll sort you out. The buffet setup is extensive without being overwhelming, and the coffee (this is Melbourne, after all) is properly good. There’s also a restaurant on-site that does excellent modern Australian cuisine, though honestly, with all the incredible dining options within walking distance, you might want to explore the neighborhood too. Private parking is available, which is a genuine luxury in the CBD.
