W30 – Sparkling North Melbourne Gem with parking Overview

I remember pulling up to the W30 in North Melbourne late one afternoon, dodging the usual tram traffic on Flemington Road – you know, that stretch where everyone’s rushing to beat the peak hour crawl into the city. Honestly, after circling for parking spots in the CBD earlier that day, spotting the dedicated spot included with the booking felt like winning the lottery. It’s not some massive garage, but it’s secure and right there, which is a godsend in this part of town where street parking can turn into a nightmare, especially on weekends when the Queen Victoria Market crowds spill over. The building itself has that modern apartment vibe – sleek lines, big windows letting in the afternoon sun – and check-in was a breeze; no fuss, just a quick code entry and you’re in. I mean, it’s self-contained, so if you’re like me and hate waiting around lobbies, this setup is perfect. The place smells fresh, like they’ve just aired it out with a hint of eucalyptus cleaner, and the floors have that polished gleam that makes you want to kick off your shoes right away.

What really sold me on this spot – it’s called the Sparkling North Melbourne Gem for a reason – was how it balances that homey feel with some thoughtful touches that make traveling easier. The apartment’s got a full kitchen (stocked with basics, even a decent coffee machine), and the bed? Super comfy, with those crisp white sheets that actually feel luxurious without trying too hard. I stayed during a quieter mid-week stretch in autumn, when the neighborhood’s leafy streets are all golden and the air’s got that cool bite – perfect for wandering down Errol Street for a flat white at one of those little cafes locals swear by, like Auction Rooms. It’s just a short stroll to the hospital precinct if you’re in town for that (Royal Melbourne’s practically around the corner), or hop on the 57 tram to zip into the city center in under 10 minutes. Noise-wise, it’s pretty peaceful at night, though you might hear the occasional siren – well, it’s North Melbourne, sort of inevitable near the hospitals – but the double-glazed windows keep most of it out. And parking, as I said, is the hero here; no stressing about meters or towing zones. Oh, and the bathroom’s spotless, with rain shower heads that make mornings a treat – small detail, but it matters after a long day exploring.

Look, if you’re planning a Melbourne trip and want something that’s not your cookie-cutter hotel chain, this place is a solid pick. At 4 stars with an 8.8 rating, it delivers without the pretension, and for the price, you get that rare combo of convenience and comfort in a suburb that’s got real character – think Victorian terraces mixed with trendy spots. I’d book it again in a heartbeat, especially if you’re driving; just maybe avoid peak summer when the area’s buzzing with festival-goers. You know what? It feels like staying at a friend’s stylish pad, minus the awkward small talk. Totally worth it for anyone wanting to feel plugged into the local scene without the hassle.

Melbourne tourism provides visitors with unforgettable experiences in Australia’s cultural heart, known for its dynamic arts scene, world-class restaurants, and legendary coffee culture throughout hidden laneways.

Reviews of W30 – Sparkling North Melbourne Gem with parking

  • Perfectly located apartment with everything I needed. – Nicola from Australia – 23 June 2025 (10/10)

It had everything I needed with a bonus sunset view!

What could be improved: Everything was excellent. But please provide coffee pods for the machine!

  • A very comfortable stay . – Karen from Australia – 2 June 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: It would have been better to pick up the keys from a lock box at the property. A little noisy but expected given the location close to the main road and hospital.
It would have been good to have a bedside table and lamp on both sides of the bed.

  • Everything we hoped for – clean and airy accommodation in close proximity to everything we wanted. – Martin from Australia – 9 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location, parking access easy. Close to the CBD but also only a short drive from the end of major motorways coming into the city.

What could be improved: A little traffic noise, no more than expected for the location. Windows are well soundproofed so easy to shut out when needed.

  • Lovely clean apartment, safe area, convenient location to Nth Melbourne. Thankyou – Louise from Australia – 20 April 2025 (8/10)

Lovely apartment, good location, clean, good appliances

What could be improved: Not adequate bedding. No top sheet, no spare blanket, temperatures ranged from cold to hot. I don’t like sleeping in air conditioning but did to balance temperature issues, then had sinus issues🤷🏼‍♀️ my only issue in an otherwise lovely stay

  • Absolutely perfect for a hospital stay! – Samantha from Australia – 14 March 2025 (9/10)

We had 3 days worth of appointments at Peter Mac and the apartment could not have been closer, it was absolutely perfect for our stay, being only a 5 minute walk.
It is close to great coffee, and plenty of lunch and dinner options, all within a very short walk! The parking was great for a big car. The communication from the host was just wonderful, very quick and the check in was soooo easy! We will stay again.

What could be improved: A little bit of road noise, but to be so close to the hospital, made up for it!

  • Great stay! Staff very accommodating and communicated well. Great check in/ out system – Christine from Australia – 6 March 2025 (10/10)

For a hospital stay at Royal Women’s hospital this was the perfect location.
7/11 and supermarkets are near by.

  • Very good – Jacqui from Australia – 6 April 2025 (8/10)

Really close to Hospitals. Surprisingly nice apartment with parking includrd. Good value for money. Would definitely book again if available.

What could be improved: Just my preference but bed was a bit squishy for my liking. No way to plug the sink to do dishes by hand and a better tea towel could be provided. I went and bought my own. But these are all small things considering how convenient the location.

  • Just what we needed – Anonymous from Australia – 12 July 2025 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Host communications

  • 很舒适 – Qi from China – 20 May 2025 (9/10)

    地理位置优越,对我们来说非常方便。床的宽度很好,空调很好。厨房各类器具齐全,水杯,烧水壶也很好用。

    What could be improved: 床垫略软,洗澡水有点小,有洗衣机没有烘干机。

  • Superb – Ann from Australia – 20 May 2025 (9/10)
